Privacy Policy
Plain-language explanation of what data Sirrona Media collects, how it is used, and the rights you have over it. No legalese where regular English will do.
Sirrona Media, LLC ("Sirrona," "we," "us") is a single-operator consulting practice based in Greenville, South Carolina. This policy describes what personal information we collect when you visit sirrona.com or contact us, how we use it, who we share it with, and what rights you have under U.S. state privacy laws and GDPR.
What we collect
We collect three categories of information.
1. Information you give us directly
When you submit our consultation form, we collect your name, email address, phone number (if provided), and the project description you share with us. This is the data you intentionally type into a form. We use it solely to respond to your inquiry.
2. Information collected automatically
When you visit any page on sirrona.com, our analytics tools and infrastructure providers automatically log standard web traffic data: your IP address (often anonymized), browser type and version, operating system, the page you came from (referrer), the pages you visited on our site, and the timestamp of your visit. This data is used in aggregate to understand site performance and inform improvements.
3. Cookies and tracking technologies
Our site uses three categories of cookies and tracking technologies:
- Essential cookies: Required for the site to function. These include Cloudflare's security cookies that help protect against malicious traffic. You cannot opt out of these without breaking site functionality.
- Analytics cookies: Google Analytics 4 sets cookies (typically prefixed _ga) to measure how visitors use the site. We use this in aggregate only and do not attempt to identify individual visitors from this data.
- Form security cookies: Google reCAPTCHA sets cookies to verify form submissions are from real humans, not bots. This is required for the consultation form to function.
How we use your information
We use information you give us directly to respond to your project inquiry. That is the entire purpose. We do not add inquiry submitters to a marketing list, share your contact information with partners, or repurpose it for sales outreach beyond your original inquiry.
We use automatically collected analytics data to understand which pages are most useful to visitors, identify technical performance issues, and inform decisions about content priorities. This data is reviewed in aggregate, not at the individual user level.
Third parties we share data with
Sirrona Media uses the following third-party processors. Each one has its own privacy policy that governs how they handle data they receive from us.
- Google (Analytics 4 and reCAPTCHA): Receives anonymized analytics data from your browser and form security signals. Google Privacy Policy.
- Cloudflare: Acts as our security and performance proxy. Cloudflare sees traffic to and from our site and uses that to block malicious requests. Cloudflare Privacy Policy.
- Hostinger: Our hosting provider. Stores the site files and handles the underlying web server. Hostinger Privacy Policy.
- Google Workspace: Powers the email infrastructure for aaron@sirrona.com and contact@sirrona.com. Form submissions are processed via Google Apps Script and stored in a private Google Sheet visible only to Aaron Norris.
We do not sell, rent, trade, or otherwise commercialize your personal information. Period.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you have specific rights regarding your personal information.
For all visitors
You can request a copy of any personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct inaccurate data, or ask us to delete your data entirely. Email aaron@sirrona.com with the subject line "Privacy Request" and we will respond within 30 days.
For California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, and Utah residents
State privacy laws give you the right to know what personal information is collected about you, to delete that information, and to opt out of any sale of personal information (we do not sell). To exercise these rights, contact us using the email above. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
For EU and UK residents (GDPR)
You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict processing, object to processing, and request portability of your personal data. The lawful basis for processing your inquiry is the legitimate interest of responding to a contact you initiated. The lawful basis for analytics is consent (implied by site usage), which you can withdraw at any time by clearing cookies and not returning to the site.
How long we keep data
Inquiry submissions are retained for as long as the relationship is active, plus seven years after the engagement ends for tax and legal purposes. Analytics data is retained according to our Google Analytics retention setting (currently 14 months). Cookies expire according to the schedules set by their respective providers, typically 30 minutes to two years.
Children
Sirrona Media does not knowingly collect information from children under 13. Our services are intended for business contacts. If you believe we have collected information from a child, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our practices evolve or as regulations change. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be communicated via a notice on the homepage for at least 30 days following the change.
